Nissan will debut its 2011 Murano CrossCabriolet at the L.A. Auto Show on Wednesday, but has decided to give us all a sneak peak of the world's first [only?] all-wheel drive crossover cabriolet today. In English, this is a car-based SUV with its roof removed and replaced with a convertible soft top. Unlike many of the Photoshop versions of this car, the Murano CrossCab actually looks pretty cool, maybe in a modern dune-buggy sort of way. The sole photo released is above.
Currently available in the U.S. only as a four-door hatch, Nissan is promising that the two-door 2011 Murano Cross Cabriolet will provide room for four adults (rare in the world of ragtops), a premium leather interior, and space for golf bags or luggage even with the top down. No pricing has been announced yet, but expect it a fair ways north of the standard Murano's $28,500 base sticker. According to Nissan, the 2011 Murano CrossCabriolet will go on sale in early 2011.
