2012 Nissan GT-R Breaks $90K Mark With More Power, Black Edition

Pricing was announced today for the 2012 Nissan GT-R, which gets a number of revisions, a $5,890 increase in price and a new "Black Edition." Set to go on sale early next year, the 2012 GT-R will now start at $89,950 for the Premium model, which will take the supercar past the $90,000 mark once the $1,000 destination charge is added. Still, the GT-R is a relative bargain, considering that it offers performance on par with a Porsche 911 Turbo, which costs about $43,000 more. Nissan also announced the "Black Edition" trim level ($95,100), which adds red-trimmed Recaro seats, red and black interior trim and a dark headliner and unique wheels.
Notable changes to the 2012 Nissan GT-R are new paint colors, a 35-horsepower increase (now 530 hp), refreshed front and rear fascias, LED running lights, improved aerodynamics and lighter 20-inch Rays wheels. The Black Edition features special black six-spoke wheels in place of the Premium model's 10-spoke design.
