Free Maintenance Now Standard on 2011 Lincoln Vehicles

Lincoln announced today that its free maintenance program will now come standard on all its 2011 vehicles. The Lincoln complimentary maintenance program covers oil and filter changes, tire rotations and multipoint inspections for four years or 50,000 miles, which is the duration of the warranty. Lincoln was the first domestic automaker to offer free maintenance earlier this year, but only as a promotional incentive. The coverage is fully transferrable to a second owner.
This free maintenance is what we at Edmunds consider intermediate coverage, in that it includes scheduled services but not wear-and-tear items such as brake pads and wiper blades. Though the mileage duration varies from one automaker to the next, the coverage is similar to that offered by Cadillac, Volkswagen, Saab, Scion and Toyota. The program applies to both leased and purchased Lincoln vehicles.
