Toyota released details and images today of its refreshed 2011 Corolla. No pricing has been announced, but the 2011 model will go on sale in December with a number of safety features now standard, including Toyota's new brake override setup, which it has labeled Smart Stop. Other mods to the perennial compact top-seller are redesigned front and rear fascias that include a redesigned front bumper, radiator grille, front lower grille, headlamps, trunk lid and rear bumper.
The 2011 Corolla includes a host of standard safety features, including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. The 2011 Corolla is available in three grades: the base-model Corolla, LE, and S. All models are equipped with a 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine, which produces 132 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 128 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm.
